Private Securities

In addition to publicly traded securities, we have access to a variety of private, non-traded securities. Because we are an independent firm with no proprietary products, we can offer alternative investments that many other firms do not. There are various types of alternative investments available including Opportunity Zone based investments, oil and gas limited partnerships, real estate offerings for 1031 exchanges, and private preferred stock. Although less liquid, private securities may allow for the following benefits.

• Greater diversification 
• Some provide for tax reduction or even tax elimination advantages 
• Some report less volatility and/or more price stability in certain cases
